Allstate | Arity
Allstate was my first exposure to working with the Pivotal model of a balanced team; unbeknownst to me, they were a previous client of Pivotal Labs (where I would soon be working.) I was hired to bring the design best practices I learned from IBM, to the new design organization at Allstate. In addition to my role as an IC I also managed designers and worked on design value and best practice committees with senior leadership.
The projects I worked on ranged from new-to-market web applications to consumer-facing mobile apps. Every project involved pairing with one other designer to create ideal user-experiences within an advanced product timeline. I worked within a co-located team to deliver insights, design user flows and various product flow diagrams, create wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups, and pair with developers to ensure quality implementation.

Fleet mgmt solution
Working on Arity's Shared Mobility Solution was a constant tug of war between enhancing the user's experience and fulfilling business promises. This product was a great opportunity to be directly involved with the product development process, by pairing with developers and building an iterative product that delivered a usable but increasingly better user experience.
Gig-economy app
iOS and Android app development targeted at an established gig-economy network. The services provided were “soft-service” emergencies (i.e., jump start, tire change, fuel delivery, and lockout) serviced by independent contractors for existing Allstate Roadside Services customers through mobile digital dispatch. I joined the development team in enhancing the current mobile application with additional features and usability enhancements.
